Staying Informed vs. Staying Sane

Things are obviously heavy and tense right now. Are you feeling it too? If so, you aren’t alone. Politics, social issues, the ongoing virus situation. It’s a lot.

When is it too much to consistently remain informed? Or better yet, when was the last time you had fun, had a good laugh, or enjoyed yourself simply for the sake of enjoying yourself?

When we hear about “self care” one of the important things we want to consider is our ability to find joy in our lives.

How are you allowing time and space in your life to find joy despite all of the heaviness we are being subjected to on a daily basis?

It’s likely that what we’re experiencing is better dealt with as if it’s a marathon. Take breaks. Taking time to relax. Having fun doing things we enjoy and spending time with the people in our lives that bring us joy.
